What happens if my child is ill?
It's unavoidable that small children catch all kinds of minor infections. For a speedy recovery and to prevent the other children from falling ill, children who are unwell must stay at home. Only when the fever has subsided for a whole day should you return your child to the nursery. If the disease is infectious, we'll need a doctor's note confirming that your child is no longer contagious
With regards to our invoice, we are open for 48 weeks of the year, please note that we average the fees over a full year of 48 working weeks we divide this by 12 to give parents an average 4-week invoice, this may include government funding if applicable. Please note your invoice may not reflect the exact number of days or weeks in that particular month. Should your child leave before the 31st of August 2017 there will be an additional charge on your final invoice for sessions that have not been paid for during that year i.e 5 week months.
Holidays taken and sickness cannot be refunded.
We are closed for 4 weeks of the year 1 week Christmas, 1 week Easter, 2 weeks August and Bank Holidays. Normal fees apply on Bank Holidays that fall in a School Week when we are open. If you have any further queries regarding our fee structure, see Fee Structure page or please feel free to contact Miss Jackie Jones administrator or Mr Fry our accountant.
The first term after your child is 3, your child is able to claim 570 hours of funding, across the 48 weeks that we are open and this is called stretched funding. We offer a maximum of 3 hours funding per session or 6 hours funding in a full day. We are not able to offer more than 11.8 hours per week where care is for 48 weeks. Our fees are based on a sessional charge not hourly. However, a charge is applied for the time outside of the funded hours per day, as well as breakfast, lunch and additional services that we provide at Little Oaks Forest School. At present we will not be offering the new means teated 15 hours. Little Oaks is a small very popular school with a very long waiting list, children taking up the offer would restrict the number of sessions available for new children to enjoy our Forest School Experience.
